Final preparations are now underway for the CIPD’s HR Software Show 2018, and Leeds-based Cascade HR is set to have its largest presence yet.

The long-standing exhibitor is a familiar fixture at this renowned technology expo, carrying out more tailored demos than any other vendor and hosting advice-led seminars to aid delegates’ learning.

And this year is no different.

Cascade’s theme for the 2018 event is to empower HR professionals, and the first seminar on day one of HRSS evidences that mission completely.

‘Start your HRSS visit here: Finding HR software that will support your growth’ will be delivered by Elaine Perrins from CascadeGo – the cloud based HRMS for SME businesses – in the Technology and Software showcase at 9.30am. Designed to arm delegates with the information they need to build a robust software wishlist, the aim is to ensure they go on to ask the questions that really matter when they request demonstrations from the show’s exhibitors.

This theme will be enhanced on day two of the HR Software Show when Catrin Gaston-Perry – Head of HR at The Cell and Gene Therapy Catapult – will take to the stage to deliver her seminar ‘Finding an HR system that fits you’.

Drawing on her experience of using Cascade’s renowned SaaS solution for firms with up to 10,000 staff (or more), she will share her tips for a successful system implementation. The goal of Catrin’s presentation is to stress that HR teams should not have to change to suit the rigid capabilities of HR software – instead modern technology should be flexible enough to suit the evolving requirements of the customer organisation.

Commenting on the presentation themes, Cascade’s marketing manager Kate Swinscoe said: “We don’t ever go to the HR Software Show with a sales mentality. Of course we come away from the event with lots of exciting prospective projects to explore further, but our approach, whilst we’re at Olympia London, is to transfer knowledge, stimulate thought and empower. We hope these two presentations will do just that.”

Away from the seminar theatre on stand F50, Cascade will allow delegates to explore its fully-integrated, GDPR-compliant HR and payroll software. Ease of use and the user experience are common reasons why HR teams throughout the country invest in this system, so the message is ‘come and have a go’, for people who want to stop by. With enquiries still flooding in at Cascade’s Leeds HQ regarding Gender Pay Gap Reporting, absence management, people analytics and resource-efficient recruitment – to name just a few subjects – these are bound to be hot topics for stand visitors in June.

Over on the CascadeGo stand (G24), delegates from smaller organisations will be able to see how – as with the larger product in Cascade’s suite – they can reduce admin, streamline processes, improve best practice and free up time to complete more value-adding HR activities.

Kate concludes: “Both of our technologies are designed to take the pain out of HR. We know the profession can be admin-intensive, and is fraught with compliance worries, reporting requirements and data-heavy tasks. Automating the laborious elements of HR and payroll life, with ease, so that teams can concentrate on what really matters – people – is key to what we do. That’s what we hope delegates will get from visiting us – we’re here to empower them, at the show and long into the future.”

Visitors to either stand will be able to take away a free ‘Stress Management Checklist’ – a bite-sized resource which encourages HR professionals and their senior management teams to better protect the mental wellness of their employees. The checklist was prepared by Cascade following industry research conducted this spring. The study found that stress has become ‘a way of life’ for 4 out of 5 UK workers, but only 40% believe their employer takes enough proactive steps to protect their psychological wellbeing.

The HR Software Show will take place at Olympia London on 13-14 June. Entry is free but pre-registration is advised.
